Origin PC proudly announces the availability of its EON17-X laptop that aims to be a replacement for a desktop system. This fully feature packed laptop is based on Intel’s X79 chipset and is powered by an Intel Sandy Bridge-E six core processor with the option of opting for a dual overclocked Nvidia GeForce GTX 580M graphics cards in SLI setup.

MSI has officially and proudly announced its flagship motherboard for Intel’s enthusiast grade CPUs, Sandy Bridge-E. Built on the XL-ATX form factor and based on the X79 chipset, the Big Bang-XPower II comes heavily equipped with features that can give overclockers and other enthusiast the ability to perform almost anything be it a 4-way CrossFire/SLI setup or extreme CPU overclocking.

Although MSI already provided a complete lineup of motherboards for Intel’s Sandy Bridge-E platform, it didn’t stop the company from releasing another one that caters to the same enthusiast grade CPUs.

Intel’s latest enthusiast processors, Sandy Bridge-E have just been recently released and for those who are immediately concerned and are wondering if these chips will be compatible with the next generation extreme processors, the answer is there is a big probability at least according to the Intel slide published at Xfastest forum.

Asus had officially launched it motherboard lineup for the X79 Sandy Bridge-E platform but the company does have its ROG series and it doesn’t stop with the ROG Rampage Extreme motherboard that got included in the official launch.

ASRock has announced its overclocking oriented motherboards that feature the latest X79 chipset from Intel and supports the new enthusiast grade Sandy Bridge-E processors. The new X79 lineup includes the X79 Extreme9, X79 Extreme7, X79 Extreme4, X79 Extreme4-M and X79 Extreme3. Except for the X79 Extreme4-M which is a micro-ATX, all are ATX motherboards.

EVGA introduces its own official motherboard lineup for the Intel Sandy Bridge-E processors. The lineup includes the X79 Classified, the X79 FTW and the X79 SLI. All new motherboards feature the X79 chipset and provide support for quad-channel DDR3 memory and the Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0.

Asus has announced its complete motherboard lineup for the new Sandy Bridge-E platform from Intel that includes the P9X79 Series, the ROG Rampage IV Extreme, the TUF SABERTOOTH X79, and the professional P9X79 WorkStation Series. All motherboards are based on the X79 chipset and carry with them the new LGA2011 socket design for the new processors.

With just a few hours left until the launch of Intel’s enthusiast grade Sandy Bridge-E processors, Gigabyte has officially announced the complete lineup of it X79 series of motherboards that includes the G1.Assassin 2, the X79-UD7, the X79-UD5 and the X79-UD3.

MSI has published in their Facebook page the first pictures of their top of the line motherboard, the Big Bang XPower II that is based on the X79 chipset and made to house Intel’s upcoming enthusiast grade Sandy Bridge-E processors.

We know now that Gigabyte will be introducing the 3D BIOS in all of their upcoming X79 motherboards. For the unfamiliar, it’s that BIOS interface that shows users a 3D image of their motherboard and allowing configuration of the components by simply hovering their mouse pointer over those components and clicking.

Sapphire Technologies, who is known for its AMD Radeon graphics cards has entered the market for Sandy Bridge-E as it introduces its X79 Pure Black motherboard that comes with nice features including a 7-phase digital PWM power supply that draws power from an 8-pin EPS connector and a total of six PCI-Express 3.0 with three being x16 capable while all of them being x8 capable.

The UEFI interface has already been adapted in almost all of the modern motherboards of today and with manufacturers aiming to stand out from the rest of the competition many variations and customizations are being made.

MSI is sure to throw its own micro-ATX motherboard for the LGA2011 Sandy Bridge-E processors and proof of that is the X79MA-GD45 motherboard that as of now is only the second board in the micro-ATX form factor to be confirmed for the upcoming processors from Intel apart from ASRock’s X79 Extreme4-M.

It may not look like much but Biostar’s incoming TPower X79 motherboard for Sandy Bridge-E packs a lot of essential overclocking features. It looks a bit lacking at first compared to the other overclocker oriented motherboards out there but don’t be fooled as the company’s TPower brand, even in the past was not really known to carry so much load with it but rather only those features that are really important for overclocking.

Foxconn’s gamer-overclocker oriented motherboard, the Quantum Force X79 has been pictured bearing the final design that it will take when it finally hits retail later this year. The board will support the upcoming Sandy Bridge-E processors from Intel and will take on the other manufacturer’s products including Asus’ ROG series, Gigabyte’s G1.Killer and ASRock’s Fatal1ty Professional motherboards.

ASRock’s LGA2011 lineup becomes complete with the emergence of the X79 Exteme4 motherboard that adapts the same gold and black theme including the active fan-heatsink found over the chipset itself that have recently become a trademark of the company’s motherboards for the new Intel platform.

ASRock is looking to join the top boys offering the best LGA2011 enthusiast grade motherboard with its own bet, the X79 Extreme9 motherboard that comes fully packed with features starting with the high-grade PWM circuitry with two 8-pin EPS connectors that powers the CPU, a full array of eight DDR3 DIMMS and a total of five PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots.

The race is on for the one who can place the best feature on their motherboards for them to look attractive enough to be considered by the many awaiting buyers looking to build a new rig based on the upcoming Intel Sandy Bridge-E platform.

ASRock has showcased the first micro-ATX motherboard for Sandy Bridge-E LGA2011 processors to surface in the form of the X79 Extreme4-M motherboard that although is small in size, still packs a hefty number of X79 motherboard features.
