Nvidia’s first Kepler GPU, the GTX 680 graphics card is now out and has really proven itself worth the wait but the green camp’s offering does not stop there as the company is now planning to release the second wave of its Kepler 600 series graphics card on May.

Almost a decade ago, Nvidia had a tech demo for its GeForce FX series of graphics cards called ‘Dawn’. It was a fairy who had a pair of wings, two antlers and was wearing a revealing dress. The scene was set in an enchanted forest were ‘Dawn’ showcased Nvidia’s graphics card technology then by exhibiting lifelike animation and features. Now, Nvidia is planning to use Dawn again to demonstrate the capabilities of their recently released GeForce GTX 680 graphics card.

Galaxy, in a press event in China has unveiled two of its upcoming custom designed GeForce GTX 680 graphics cards. One card will be branded as the GTX 680 Hall of Fame (HOF) Edition, a brand which Galaxy uses to designate all of its highest-end graphics card offering while the second one is the GeForce GTX 680 4GB edition which sports double the memory amount of the reference design.

It seems it’s not only in performance that Nvidia will win over gamers and alike but also in terms of the quality of graphics that the new Kepler GPUs can provide thanks to three new technologies – TXAA, Adaptive V-Sync and the new and improved 3D Vision Surround.

HIS has officially announced its custom cooled Radeon HD 7900 series graphics cards. The company’s HD 7970 graphics cards use the latest IceQ X² custom cooler which features three 6 mm and two 8 mm nickel-plated copper heat pipes that feed heat to the aluminum fin array cooled by two high airflow silent fans.

Powercolor has added to its lineup of Cape Verde GPU based graphics cards the PCS+ HD 7770 GHz edition graphics card that makes use of the company’s Professional Cooling System plus comes with factory overclocked settings.

AMD’s Radeon HD 7700 graphics cards are now official. The series is based on the Cape Verde GPU that is made using the 28nm fab process and uses the Graphics CoreNext GPU architecture. Fully enabled, it features 10 GCN compute units resulting to a total of 640 stream processors accompanied by 40 TMUs, 16 ROPs, and a 128-bit wide GGDR5 memory interface.

VTX3D has launched its custom-cooled and factory overclocked Radeon HD 7970 and HD 7950 graphics cards. The cards feature two 92mm fans and SSU-shape heat pipes that provide better cooling performance compared to the reference design cooler while maintaining silent operation.

We have finally come to the time when Nvidia is starting to take the attention of people away from the Radeon HD 7900 Southern Island GPUs. While early rumors about Nvidia’s Kepler GPUs being faster than the Radeon HD 7900 series have made some people delay their purchase of new graphics cards, this new one courtesy of Indian website lenzfire.com will probably be a determining factor if not for many but for some who are after the best performance they can get for their money.

The upper range of AMD’s Southern Islands GPUs based graphics cards is now complete. A report has now surfaced saying that AMD’s next generation Radeon HD 7000 series graphics cards could just be mere rebrands of the HD 6000 series GPUs at least for the case of the entry and mid-level models. The information comes from ChipHell and states that rebranded GPUs will surface in models including the HD 7300, HD 7400, HD 7500 and HD 7600 series of graphics cards.
