Powercolor showcases silent HD 6850 SCS3 graphics card

It’s been quite a while since we’ve seen any decent silent graphics cards on the market, However Powercolor is about to change that with its latest offering, the HD 6850 SCS3 passively cooled graphics card. The new HD6850 SCS3 is now the fastest completely-silent graphics card on the market.

Since the HD 6850 SCS3 is passively cooled it had to retain the specs at reference values to avoid any overheating issues.  The card features 960 stream processors and runs at 775MHz for the GPU and 4000MHz for the 1GB of GDDR5 memory running on a 256-bit memory bus. You may remember the heat sink featured on the HD 6850 SCS from some of Powercolors previous offerings, it retains the five heat pipes paired with a 62-fin heatsink that covers the entire card.

The new HD 6850 SCS comes CrossfireX ready and features the standard 2 DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. Although Powercolor hasn’t mentioned any official price yet, it has been confirmed that it will come bundled with Codemasters Dirt 3. This is quite an interesting bundle to keep an eye out for.
