POV/TGT roll out two new GTX 580 overclocked cards

Looks like Point of View’s graphics card tuning team TGT have been hard at work with two new updates to their Geforce GTX 500 series line-up. The GTX 580 3GB Ultra Charged and the GTX 580 3GB Charged cards will both be factory overclocked versions of the GTX 580 with twice as much memory.

Both cards will run the GF110 GPU with 512 CUDA cores matched up with a 384-bit memory interface. However since TGT has been tinkering with the cards it’s safe to say you can expect a fairly decent factory overclock and it shows in the specs. The POV/TGT GTX 580 3GB Ultra charged has had its GPU overclocked to 841MHz, shaders clocked at 1682MHz and 4104MHz for that 3GB of GDDR5 memory. The Charged version received a GPU boost to 810MHz, the shaders run at 1620MHz with the memory running at 4008MHz. It’s also interesting to note that POV/TGT were keen to stress that there is still plenty of headroom in the graphics cards for anyone wanting to further overclock their cards.

Both cards should hit the retail/e-tail shelves soon and are expected to be around €70 to €80 more expensive when compared to the 1536MB GTX 580 versions.
