Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with Android 4.0 Announced

Samsung has announced its Galaxy Tab 2 which is officially the first tablet from Samsung that comes preinstalled with Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich”. The 7-inch tablet is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor (model still unkown) and features a screen resolution of 1024x600.
The Galaxy Tab 2 now comes with an 8GB model in addition to the 16GB and 32GB available for the previous model. It also has a new a new 3 megapixel camera that can shoot full HD video and a new PLS screen as well as a new micro SD card slot.
The tablet now also supports Wi-Fi Direct and HSPA+ connectivity up to 21Mbps (3G model only) but has lost HDMI port and DLNA support.
The Galaxy Tab 2 is lighter at 344g and is 2mm slimmer in its dimension compared to the previous model. It is expected to arrive in UK next month and although no official UK prices are still available at this time, the Wi-Fi version is expected to sell for $450 while the 3G version will be available for $555.
