PowerColor Launches Radeon HD 7970 with Custom Dual Fan Cooler

PowerColor announced the launch of its Radeon HD 7970 graphics solution equipped with a custom cooler that features two 92mm fans and unique SSU-shape heat pipe design. The cooler can lower the card’s temperature by 10% and reduce operating noise by up to 15% compared to AMD’s reference cooler design.

The card comes stock clocked with its core running at 925MHz and memory at 1375MHz (5500MHz effective). Amount of memory is also 3GB and the 384-bit memory interface is retained.

The card supports AMD’s Eyefinity technology and has video outputs including one DVI, one HDMI and two mini-DisplayPort.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability were not included in the company’s press release.
