MSI Showcases Custom Cooled Radeon HD 7000 Graphics Card Lineup
At this year’s CeBIT, MSI displayed a complete lineup of its GCN-based HD 7000 graphics cards that belong to the Lightning, Twin Frzr and Hawk series and all incorporate the company’s custom coolers.
Starting from the top-end of the lineup, MSI showcases the R7970 Lightning graphics card that is equipped with the company’s overclocker and enthusiast oriented Twin Frzr IV cooler. The card features an unlocked digital power circuitry, a GPU reactor, Military Class III components and 3x3 OC kits. Clocks were not revealed yet but expect to see pretty good factory OCed ones as the R7970 is MSI’s top-end offering in its AMD Radeon 7000 graphics card lineup.
Next in the lineup is the R7950 Twin Frzr that is equipped with the Twin Frzr III custom cooler. It also comes with Military Class III components and supports GPU and memory over voltage through MSI’s Afterburner overclocking software. The card comes as factory overclocked.
Following the Tahiti HD 7900 graphics cards are the Pitcairn based cards, the R7870 Hawk and R7850 Twin Frzr. The R7870 Hawk uses the Twin Frzr IV custom cooler from MSI. It comes with an unlocked digital power, a GPU reactor, Military Class III components and 3x3 OC kits. The R7850 Twin Frzr on the other hand uses the Twin Frzr III cooler. Both cards come factory overclocked.
A new branding surfaces with the R7770 Power Edition. It features an exclusive TransThermal Design, triple overvoltage support, enhanced PWM design, Military Class III components and factory OCed clocks. Last in the lineup is the R7750 OC that comes with a dual fan thermal design.
Information about the cards’ clocks, pricing and availability should surface soon.
