Ivy Bridge CPUs will Bear Prices Similar to Sandy Bridge

In early Q2 of 2012, Intel’s Ivy Bridge CPUs that are a die shrink of the current Sandy Bridge CPUs will launch and apparently, although the new chips will bring up to 20 percent lower TDPs and faster clock speeds, they will be priced quite similarly to their predecessors at the time of launch.
For starters, the top of the line Core i7-3770K will be priced at $332 which is similar to the current Core i7-2700K that launched recently with the same price. The other variants of the mentioned processor, the Core i7-3770, 3770S and 3770T with the latter two being energy efficient chips will all be priced at $294 which puts them at the same level as the Core i7 2600 and its variants.
Next in the list are the Core i5 CPUs. The Core i5-3570K and Core i5-3570T will have a price tag of $225 and $205 respectively. They will serve as the replacement for the Core i5-2500T and Core i5-2500K. Moving further down, there is the Core i5-3550S and 3550 which will also be priced at $205. All the remaining CPUs including the Core i5-3470T, Core i5-3450S and Core i5-3450 will all be priced at $184.
Prices of the Core i3 models as well as Pentium and Celeron CPUs are still not known at this time as they will launch at a later date which is around Q3 or even Q4 of 2012 but seeing how the higher end of the lineup is priced accordingly, we can expect the same trend from such models.
