Gigabyte Introduces its S1081 Slate PC

Gigabyte has announced the S1081 Slate PC that is powered by the latest dual-core Intel Atom N2800 Cedar Trail CPU running at 1.86GHz and comes with an integrated GMA 3600 graphics. The S1081 features a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch panel 1024x600 with LED backlight and runs Windows 7 Home Premium/Professional.

The slate PC is based on the Intel NM10 Express Chipset and features a single DIMM slot that can accommodate a 2GB or a 4GB density DDR3 memory.  Storage can be a choice between an SSD type storage (32/64/128/256GB) or a 2.5-inch 5400 RPM SATA HDD (320/500GB).

For I/O ports, the S1081 has one USB 3.0, one USB 2.0, D-Sub, HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, dedicated mic and audio ports and a SD card reader. There are also two 1.5 Watt speakers as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera with an internal microphone.

Connectivity options include LAN, 802.11b/g/n Wireless, Bluetooth 4.0 and WWAN with optional support for 3.5G module.

The S1081 Slate PC measures 270(W) x 173(D) x 14.94(H) mm. A separate docking station can be purchased which adds a DVD Drive, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, D-sub, RJ45, Earphone-out, Mic-in, DC-in Jack, Extended battery connection port, 2 sets of dual channel Speakers and 2 sets of 40mm woofer speakers.
