Gigabyte showcase the GA-990FXA-UD5 AM3+ Motherboard

Gigabyte have just rolled out another motherboard to its GA-990FXA lineup, the GA-990FXA-UD5. As the name suggests, Gigabyte have based this board on the latest AMD 990FX Nothbridge and SB950 Southbridge combo. The GA-990FXA-UD5 supports the AM3+ socket including the upcoming AMD Bulldozer series CPUs and is also compatible with earlier AM3 Phenom II CPUs.

The GA-990FXA-UD5 features a black/grey colour scheme on its Ultra Durable 3 PCB and a 10-phase VRM similar to that found on the UD7 Motherboard. It also features a black AM3+ socket, large heat-sinks to cool the North and Southbridge, Driver MOSFETS and five PCI-Express x16 slots which will enable up to a 3-way SLI or CrossfireX setup.

Other features of the GA-990FXA-UD5 Motherboard include four DDR3 1866MHz (2000MHz O.C.)  memory slots, two eSATA 6.0 Gbps and eight SATA 6.0 Gbps ports, four USB 3.0 ports (two on the backpanel, two via a header), Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1 channel audio, FireWire, DualBIOS, and the Turbo XHD function for completely automatic RAID 0 configurations.

Unfortunately no official word on price has been given yet for the Motherboard; however you should start to see it in retail/e-tail stores next month.
